The Parallel Architectures and Programming research group at the University of Malaga focuses on hardware and software solutions to improve the program execution efficiency (performance and/or energy) of parallel computer systems.
The main research lines are:
Our group is involved in the HiPEAC European Network of Excellence on High Performance, Edge and Cloud Computing.
Our group coordinates the UMA node (Picasso) of the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES). Picasso is a large-scale supercomputing infrastructure located in the Supercomputing and Bioinnovation Center (SCBI) of the University of Malaga. Picasso supercomputing infrastructure belongs to the map of Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS).
The UMA RES node participates in the Quantum Spain project, the main national initiative to promote quantum computing in Spain.
